To be honest, I'm eccentric at my best.  I deny conformity and go against the grain as often as I can.  To some, this is a detriment: to others, it's a strength: to my parents, it's a curse.  I am a very unique person and I am very proud of that.  Who wants to be another cookie-cutter personality?

I enjoy many things, but mostly I love music and movies.  I love reading and writing, but both are time-consuming and hard to keep in steady habit.  I also enjoy discussing politics and philosophy.  Mostly, though, I love spending time with my love,

My beliefs...

Religion:
I am a deist in its purists form.  I believe that there is no sentient "God" that makes personal choices about each of us.  Rather, the universe itself is a "god" in that it has rules and laws that we must adhere to for us to remain human and true to our fellow man.  I believe in the laws of physics, biology, chemistry, genetics, etc...  Our reality isn't a script played out for some bored deity, but rather a carefully orchestrated jazz composition that not only allows for improvisation, but flourishes because of it.  Random acts of life are what make life so beautiful.

"In this holy reality, in this holy experience." - Tool, Parabola

Politics:
Here recently, I've been merging my religious feelings with my political feelings.  Individuality is supreme in both these beliefs, so they combine very easily.  I once described myself as libertarian, one who believed that economics and personal responsibility were better suited for America.  However, I've grown away from that into a weird form of anarchism. Personally, I would find a perfect life and liberty in having a secluded community beyond the touch of a larger government.  I almost long for a lifestyle similar to the reclusive religious groups like the Amish.  I say that society has become warped, that we belong to puppet masters and the only way to escape their grasp is to isolate ourselves from the evil clutches of their materialistic ways.

"My blood is bruised and borrowed. You thieving bastards.
You have turned my blood cold and bitter,
beat my compassion black and blue." - Tool, Ticks and Leeches
